Head to Tabanan General Hospital in Bali for your mission. Home to 500 patients each day, shadow medical staff across core departments. Examples include paediatrics, surgery and ICU. Partake in community health programs in Tabanan including a holistic healer, local birth clinic and an elderly project. Overcome the language barrier to learn about the Balinese healthcare system.
Head to South America to hone in on your clinical skills. Witness a unique healthcare system as you encounter traditional beliefs. Specialise your time in any of the 8 wards at the public hospital. Work alongside department heads during inpatient rounds, provisions of care and consultations. Staff have limited English, so basic Spanish is beneficial to communicate effectively.
Shadow doctors on their daily rounds at a government hospital in Kumasi. They will teach you about Ghana’s prevalent diseases such as Malaria and Typhoid. Learn about their diagnoses, management and treatment. Outside the hospital, complete health checks in rural villages in outreach work. Raise awareness of key health issues in Ghana by supporting education campaigns.
Develop medical experience in India in the ultimate medical mission. Work alongside local staff to support Delhi’s poorest communities.
